MTTM System is an essential part of a toling system as Manual Tickets have to be issued when an automatic tolling system is not operational. The Manual Toll Tickets life cycle has definite stages. This application covers all these stages with provision to store individual or group Manual Toll Ticket/s details. The Manual tickets can be used internally within an organisation or across many organisations if the tolling work is out sourced. This application will be of immense use for consolidation of returned tickets as well as accounting.

Available Stages of MTTM System

  • Book Receiving and Approval
  • Rejection & Re-Acceptence of Book
  • Issue (to) - Return (from: partial / full)
  • Audit related stage marking (with levels)
  • Destroy records of used books
Basic configurations are required for proper working of this application. These setups are offered through simple user friendly forms as shown. (figure 9) The configurable parameters are Toll Plaza names, Tolling Methods, Vehicle Categories, Book Page count etc. These information once stored are protected and not editable once used in the system to avoid accedental removal of it. The setup reporting tool enlists these setup values for reference. The Tariff configuration is the most important parameter setting. This setup affect the revenue calculation. The Toll amount is dependent on the charging methods used (single ticket, bulk tickets etc.), origin and destination of the trip and the class of the vehicle. After selecting these options the tariff amount is given. (figure - 10) Also the Effective Date for this tariff is a very important input. In case of multiple tariff input for a given set of rate, the latest date values are used. Provision is also made for different return fair if needed. i.e if the toll from place A to B is not the same for B to A, this application can handle it. Reports are available for datewise tariff inserted. Traffic Statistical Application provides insite to the Trends and Patterns of the traffic flow. This application can be implemented for higways, city road segments, parking etc. Traffic analysis a critical fields today as there is increasing vehicle density, scarcity of road and the resulting pollution issues. These statistical applications not only checks the revenue of a toll road but can also help to plan road usage, traffic flow patterns and traffic management. These kind of studies help in increasing the revenue by promotions in weak segments, plugging the revenue leakage, regularising the process etc.

Main Features of Traffic Statistical Application

  • Auto data pickup from data files
  • Provision for Scheme based / toll collection records, also for Petrollingtraffic records
  • Toll Teriff Setup
  • Detailed reporting module - tabulated and graphical reports
The application requires basic configuration for Project selection, Plaza selection,Origin and Destination as well as the tariff selection. While entering the data, it is necessary to select the basic parameters from the master options as described above. Figure - 1) The charging method has options like Toll Collection, Scheme Sales and Petrolling. The Toll Collection is the process going on at the toll booth, while some bulk packages are sold at the plaza sales office. This sale for the day is added to the revenue of the toll for the same day (the scheme package sold will be used at a later date). Petrolling is a continuous activity on a toll road which is also considered here. The data can be entered manually in each filed for a class of vehicle for all segments of the toll road or can be read from data file. Date is the primary selection for the entire activity. Many Toll Roads have Service Roads on either sides to it. There can be many reasons to have a service road with opening to go on the main toll road namely: access to local towns, commuting between two small town without toll plazas, exsiting road being converted to a toll road etc. A major revenue loss / leakage issue is the leakage of traffic from the service road to the toll road and back. Vehicles violate the rules of entering/exiting the toll road to save on paying the toll. A typical pattern is as follows. Normally the service roads do not have toll booths on them. Taking advantage of this, the vehicles enter on the service road - then jump on to the main toll road - as the toll nears the end, jump back to the service road - go out from service road and the trip is free !Service Road Traffic Tracking System (SRTT) is aimed towards plugging the revenue loss due to this violation, resulting in increased revenue and traffic on the main toll road.

The Main Features of SRTT

  • Data collection at entry plaza with image
  • Central data storage
  • Data comparison while exiting
  • Single / Multiple image view option
  • Tolling for tracked vehicles
  • 'Ghost' vehicle information
  • Plaza personel management
  • Traffic and Revenue accounting
  • Redressal Module
  • Computer generated as well as manual ticket issue option
  • Designated exemption feature
  • Admionistration module
  • Depo Module for client services
  • Ideal for paid PARKING system also.An extensive reporting tool is provided for traffic analysis and accounting purpose.
There are collection related reports for daily, monthly and various category wise toll collection. Also reports are generated for collectors cash process and declaration as well as shortage or access tolling. The statistical reports offer traffic at various plaza, total matches found, exits not found, entries not found, segmentwise traffic and many more. As certain reports require input filtering, the criteria forms are as shown in the figure - 7.

The Communication

In SRTT, it is required to send (to the server) the photograph and other data of vehicle entering as well as exiting the service road. Also the server has to send the information regarding a match found or not found instantly. Thus, SRTT requires end to end connectivity between all the toll booths of the service road.

The Accessories

The SRTT system is available with various optional accessories.Theses accessories help to reach high accuracy if used.
  • CCTV camera with image capturing
  • Barrier control device
  • User Fare Display
  • SMS module for status on the spot
  • Smart card module for regular visitors
  • Optical character recognition for higher efficiency
  • Hardware lock protection for the whole system
